It's Time to Save the Ciénaga

Poorly planned infrastructure and diverted fresh water are killing Colombia's largest coastal wetland. In the wake of an ecological disaster, the government has promised to fulfill its obligation to protect the Ciénaga Grande de Santa Marta.But there's no time to lose, tell Colombia they must ACT NOW:

On September 4, Colombia’s Minister of the Environment officially added the Ciénaga Grande to the list of the world’s most critically endangered wetlands. That means Colombia will receive international technical and financial support to save the Ciénaga Grande. This victory comes thanks to citizen activism.
