On Aug. 26, 2014, the Hereditary Chiefs of Madii Lii Territory of the Gitxsan Nation declared their land CLOSED TO LNG development and other unauthorized industrial activity. The members of Wilps Luutkudziiwus have since come a long way in constructing Madii Lii base-camp in the Suskwa Valley to enforce their Territorial Management Plan, a vision which aims to preserve the land, air, and water for 1000’s of years.
