Latino Community Credit Union was founded in 2000 to service Latino immigrants in Durham, North Carolina. With $200 million in assets, 62,000 members and 10 branches, its mission is to provide ethical financial products and education in order to empower communities. The credit union provides bilingual, personalized culturally appropriate services, accepts alternative credit histories and offers comprehensive bilingual financial education. It works closely with the Latino CDC that promotes financial literacy, affordable housing and economic development for low-income Latino and other immigrant communities in North Carolina.
