Harmonized corporate seed laws in Africa: Where does this leave small holder farmers?

The African Centre for Biodiversity (ACB) is pleased to share with you our last blog for this year, written by ACB’s Linzi Lewis and Sabrina Masinjila. The blog is based on a Status quo report on the SADC, COMESA and EAC regional seed harmonisation processes due to be published by the ACB in early 2018. Linzi and Sabrina write both about the deeply worrying seed harmonisation processes of the SADC, COMESA and EAC, aimed at facilitating free corporate seed trade across regional blocs in Africa.
