Wataniba is a socio-environmental work group composed of professionals and technicians from different disciplines. Founded in 2005, we have been working with the Indigenous organizations of the Venezuelan Amazon in programs to promote and defend their rights as peoples, in monitoring extractive activities that are carried out illegally in their forests and in the construction of territorial management plans with a special focus on intercultural governance.

Wataniba works together with the Indigeous communities and organizations and makes strong efforts to have incidence on public policies.
