CooperAccion (www.cooperaccion.org.pe) is a non-profit Peruvian civil association founded in 1997 that promotes the civil, political, social, economic, cultural and environmental rights of rural and indigenous communities affected by extractive activities, as well as the sustainable management of their territories, including gender and interculturality approaches.
Our work is organized in two main programs: the Collective Rights and Extractive Industries Program and the Coastal Development Program.
These programs address the following strategic issues: spatial planning; Good Living; sustainable development; environmental management and climate change; citizen participation; and indigenous peoples free, prior and informed consent.
