Acción Ecológica is a non-governmental organization in Ecuador dedicated  to the defense of nature and peoples from pollution and extractivism.  Acción Ecológica has 31 years of activity in support of communities that  resist oil, mining, agroindustrial and infrastructure projects, through  accompaniment, training and action in joint campaigns. At the national  level, Acción Ecológica has achieved a strong social incidence, and has  been a determining factor in the recognition of the rights of nature in  the Constitution of Ecuador, with a very strong visibility of  environmental issues in public opinion. At an international level,  Acción Ecológica is part of different networks of organizations, on oil,  defenders of rights, women against mining, campaigns against  transgenics, etc.
